2. Two Simple Productivity Hacks for Writers
The worst enemy of Productivity? - Procrastination
The best ally of Productivity? - Time
If you feel guilty about the amount of time you squander away on distractions throughout the day VS. the amount of time you spend writing - check out these two productivity hacks.
Set Reminders : Schedule your time by setting an alarm every time you sit to write. And turn off notifications on your mobile when writing. Avoid distractions as much as possible.
This will help you enter a Flow State to help boost your writing process, in turn helping you produce more content pieces in less time.
If you've set aside 1 hour for writing, spend the next 15 mins taking a break. Find your sweet spot.
POMODORO : Work for 25 mins and take a 5 mins break. Repeat this 30 mins work-break cycle 4 times and then take a 20 mins break.
This popular method is known as POMODORO. It helps you stick to your schedule while preventing burnout.
You can spend 10 distracted hours every day writing and feel burned out or you can spend only 4 hours in flow state and get plenty of time to spend time with your family and live the life of your dreams.
The choice is yours. If it's the latter, use the productivity hacks above and find out the results yourself.
What's Happening on Twitter?
Here's a mini-list of Tweets that I found helpful & Inspiring.
If I give you a blank piece of paper and tell you to draw a cat, it's easier than if I give you a blank piece of paper and tell you to draw something.
Constraints enable creativity.
